Are these old fabrics or reproductions?

Sharon's deals in only vintage items, none of them are new reproductions. We are very careful to supply only genuine vintage or antique textiles.

Do you have a catalog?

Sharon's vintage items are often in very short supply; we can't order more. Sometimes the one offered for sale is the only one we've ever seen. It would not be economically feasible to print a catalog of one-of-a-kind items, and because our items sell quickly, the catalog would be outdated before it came off the press.

Can you send swatches?

Again, because we often have a very small amount of a particular fabric and cannot reorder or find more, we cannot send swatches.

How do I order?

Sharon's Ordering Information page describes the process. Just send us an email!

How big is a feedsack?

Feedsacks came in many sizes. The ones offered on Sharon's site are 100 lb size which measure, on the average, 37 x 44 inches when opened and laid flat. Most of her sacks have already been opened by the previous owners. More about feed sacks.

How many(much) of this do you have?

All of Sharon's vintage items are in very limited supply. If you need more yardage, or duplicates of an item, let us know HOW MUCH YOU NEED. We'll let you know if there's enough on hand for your project.

Can you find me that special item?

Sharon has a lot more variety of vintage items than she can show on her website. We may have exactly the fabric you're looking for. But we may not be able to send pictures, match colors or patterns and we will not have it for half the price of all the other items on our site.
We don't charge extra for special orders, but we don't charge less, either, so be familiar with our pricing before making special requests.

How much is my old fabric worth?

Sharon cannot appraise your fabric online. It requires hands-on experience to evaluate textiles. You should contact a certified appraiser in your area.

I only need a little piece - do I have to buy a whole yard/sack?

Sharon's has pages of quarter yards of vintage fabric, and feedsack quarters; she also offers scrap bags. Some of the novelty, juvenile and conversation prints are available in smaller cuts, as are the antique fabrics. For other fabrics, we can sometimes cut as small as a half yard, at slightly additional cost; or you may consider sharing with a friend or a group.

Where do you get all these great vintage textiles?

Sharon haunts estate sales, antique malls and flea markets, yard sales, and any place she might find that special item. The most important considerations are design and condition; when those are right she will probably buy the item to present to you on her site. If you have items to offer her, please be prepared to describe them fully and carefully, and let her know your asking price. Pictures are, of course, very helpful.

How soon will you reply to my email?

Sharon receives a lot of email. If she can answer your question, she will usually respond within 24 hours, often sooner. We recognize that email is not infallible - If you don't receive a response to an inquiry, try again. Either your question or our reply may have gone astray. And please do us the favor of responding as well, to let us know that you got our reply.
We often receive emails that include the imperative "please respond". So far, though we've responded to all of them, not one of those responses has been afforded a polite reply in kind.

Do you sell wholesale?

Sharon will be happy to sell you as much of an item as she has. But with all genuine vintage items, she cannot buy in quantity, and cannot therefore offer discounts for quantity purchases.
