9 patch blocks of 1 1/2 inch squares of double pink and poison green are set with 4 1/2 inch squares of a Turkey red print, forming a row of 9 inch squares. |

These larger squares are in turn flanked by 4 1/2 inch squares of Lancaster blue, and divided by rows of squares of a double cheddar print. |

The central field is surrounded by a 7 1/2 inch border of double pink, and there's a hand-stitched applied binding in cheddar. |

The back is sewn in longitudinal bars of two separate 1880's brown prints. There is an apparent dampstain in the center, which does not, however, show through on the top. |

Three different overdyed green prints were used in this quilt, along with at least 4 or 5 different double pinks. |

One or two subtle surface smudges are the only blemishes on the top of the quilt, quite unobtrusive. The quilt retains its original body, was apparently never laundered. |
