Here's a great quilt top from the late 1800's that we found in Lehigh County, PA.
This top is entirely hand pieced, including the borders, and measures approximately 74 x 74 inches.

Price: $275

Created from a beautiful array of 1880's fabrics, the pattern is expressed in a rather subtle color palette, eschewing the usual bright Pennsylvania "Dutch" colors.
A four inch outer border of a butterscotch print and an inner four inch border of double pink surround a field of 6 1/4 inch blocks set on point. The butterscotch print is also used in the half-square triangle that set the blocks within the borders.
Each block centers a 4 1/4 inch square flanked by matching triangles along each side; all set within a contrasting shirting print.
The fabric selection includes a wide variety of browns along with reds, poison green, double "Lancaster" blue, indigo, double pink and more. There are stripes, checks and a great selection of shirting prints as well.
The top is in excellent condition, I found only one or two tiny spots of age on close inspection.
Hand stitched with precision throughout, the top is ready to be finished.
