The central field is composed completely of 1 1/2 inch hexagon pieces arranged in diamond shapes around yellow centers. The diamonds are separated by a row of hexagons in that 30's green.
A wide variety of 1930's prints and solids were used, including some novelty prints, florals and geometrics.
The quilting is done in zigzags along the outer edges of rows of hexagons, in zigzags and chevrons in the borders, at about seven stitches per inch.
A green outer border surrounds the inner border of sunny yellow.
The back is solid green, and there is an applied binding of slightly darker green.
