![]() | We're not sure whether to call this quilt a Lover's Knot variation, or perhaps a variation of the Garden Maze, but it is nevertheless visually exciting! Measures about 89 inches square and dates from ca. 1880's.

Using two fabrics, a Turkey red print and a white shirting with tiny black dots, the quiltmaker has created a pattern that's reminiscent of a woven coverlet. |

Strips of the red fabric measure about 1 1/2 inches wide, appearing to intertwine across the quilt, with one reserved for the center border between two strips of white. |

The same red fabric is also used for the applied binding, one side has a number of nicks or breaks in the binding fabric. |

Quilting is done in outline, with chevrons in the larger areas of white, at about 6 stitches per inch. |

A little light surface soil and an age spot or two are hardly noticeable and certainly don't detract from the graphic appeal of the quilt. |

The backing fabric is a grey with red on white striped print. |
